Working alongside Friendship Circle of Chabad for many years, Alysson has had a lot of experience in the area.Speech therapists work with children who have significant communication problems that affect their success in classroom activities, social interaction, literacy, and learning.Communication disorders include: fluency, voice, articulation, language, and hearing impairment. Students are identified for service by a Speech Language Pathologist through the IEP team process. School-based SLP services are provided only when identified speech-language impairment directly impacts educational performance and requires the specialized expertise of a speech-language pathologist. Speech Language Pathologists collaborate with teachers and families, and consult with school personnel in order to support student communication skills in the classroom.
